Do you want a brighter smile? Are you looking for an effective way to address crooked or misaligned teeth?
Cosmetic dental care improves smile aesthetics and patients’ oral health. Our treatments can brighten and straighten smiles and motivate patients to maintain their oral health. Oftentimes, patients will want to keep their teeth white after the whitening treatment. Additionally, treatments like Invisalign can prevent decay caused by crooked teeth. It can be difficult for patients to clean between crooked teeth, leading to problems like gum disease and tooth decay. Straightening teeth makes it much easier to remove decay-causing bacteria. Dr. Walter Mazzella provides cosmetic dentistry services to patients in Woodstock, MD to improve their confidence and dental health. In addition to cosmetic dentistry treatments, we provide dental services in Woodstock, Maryland.
What is a Smile Makeover?
A smile makeover uses multiple treatments to address a variety of cosmetic dental problems. Patients with dental damage, tooth discoloration, and crooked teeth benefit from smile makeovers. During a consultation, Dr. Mazzella will examine your smile and recommend the right treatments to begin your smile makeover. Patients can benefit from all of our cosmetic treatments to restore the appearance of their smiles.
For instance, we can provide Invisalign to straighten crooked teeth, bonding and veneers for dental injuries and deep tooth stains, and teeth whitening treatment for extrinsic tooth staining. Contact Dr. Mazzella if you want to treat multiple cosmetic problems and renew your smile.
Cosmetic Dentistry in Woodstock, MD
Our cosmetic dental treatments renew the look and feel of patient’s smiles:
Porcelain Veneers
Dental veneers are thin, shell-like treatments that cover tooth stains and dental injuries. This cosmetic treatment is a great option for patients who want long-lasting, durable treatments. Because veneers require tooth preparation, we recommend veneers for patients who want to commit to one cosmetic treatment to cover their smiles.
Invisalign
This alternative to metal braces offers a modern way for patients to straighten their smiles. Invisalign uses clear aligners that patients can remove to eat, brush, and floss.
Dental Bonding
Tooth bonding treatment uses malleable composite to cover dental injuries like chips, cracks, and fractures in the tooth enamel. Bonding can also cover single discolored teeth and gaps between teeth.
Tooth Whitening
We provided professional teeth whitening treatment for patients who want brighter and whiter teeth. Our in-office whitening treatment helps patients who want immediate results. Take-home whitening can touch-up patients’ results.
Cosmetic Dental FAQs
Read answers to popular questions that many patients have about cosmetic dental care:
Can I whiten dental veneers?
No, you cannot whiten veneers or other cosmetic or restorative treatments like crowns or fillings. If you have an old discolored veneer, contact our office and we can help. Teeth whitening treatments only affect the natural tooth enamel and cannot whiten composite materials.
How do you care for Invisalign aligners?
When wearing Invisalign aligners, do not eat or drink anything other than water. Remove your aligners to eat and drink, as you can stain the clear trays. Clean your teeth before you place your aligners back in your mouth to minimize bacteria. Additionally, clean your Invisalign aligners with retainer cleaner or soap and water. Do not use hot water because this can warp the aligners.
Do I need a veneer or tooth bonding for a single damaged tooth?
If you have a single damaged tooth that is also discolored, we may recommend a veneer. Bonding can add structure to teeth if there is a chip or fracture. We can also examine your smile in our office and recommend treatment based on your specific budget and goals.
