AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS:
The welfare of our patients and their families has always been of paramount priority for us at Walter Mazzella Family Dentistry. In view of current issues with COVID-19, please be advised that we have further modified our sterilization/hygiene procedures, as recommended by CDC and Board of Dental Examiners, to meet the latest challenges. In addition to the universal precautions for patient and staff safety to protect against air-borne and blood-borne pathogens, we are taking extra measures such as disinfecting door knobs, handles, light switches, etc. With these preventative steps in place, the office will operate as usual and per schedule. Kindly call us to reschedule your appointment, if the patient or any of her/his contacts are experiencing flu like symptoms.
We are currently monitoring CDC updates regarding recommendations for the COVID-19 virus and outpatient dental procedures and will continue to keep patients informed.
According to the CDC:
"It is critical for healthcare facilities to continue to provide care for all patients, irrespective of COVID-19 infection status, at the appropriate level (e.g., home-based care, outpatient, urgent care, emergency room, or hospitilization). Facilities may need to respond to a surge in patients requiring care. Concentrated efforts will be required to mobilize all aspects of healthcare to reduce transmission of disease, direct people to the right level of care, and decrease the burden on the healthcare system."
